If you’re new to World of Warcraft, or if you have just started playing with a brand new character, you’ll most likely want to get your character to level 80 as quickly as possible. In this article you’ll learn some tips to do exactly that.

This article is titled as a Horde Leveling Guide. It will work just as well as an Alliance leveling guide however.

Lesson One - Don’t Grind

Some people swear that grinding is the quickest way to get to level 80. I’ve been playing WoW since its launch and have experimented with grinding - I can guarantee you that grinding is not the fastest way to get to level 80.

Lesson Two - Questing is the Path to Success

Hands down there is no better way to level than to run quests. Quests are in the game for a reason that is beyond furthering the story line. They are a mechanic that provides large boosts of experience, provide cash, and help a character improve their equipment at the same time.

Questing is undoubtedly the key to leveling. By questing you’ll level a lot faster than by simply grinding away.

You can maximize your experience when questing by doing the following:

1.) Fill your quest log

You will gain much more experience in the long run by keeping your log as full as you can.

2.) Complete numerous quests before turning them in (as many as you can).

This allows you to minimize the time spent in doing each quest compared to the experience gained.

3.) Use a Scorched Earth policy

When you get the last quest to fill your log start killing your way from the last quest giver to your first quest objective and then keep killing your way from objective to objective until you are ready to turn in your quests. Then kill your way back. Not only will this be a nice experience boost you might make a few coins along the way.

4.) Rest and Relaxation

When you are going to log out for any lengthy period of time especially when you are done for the day, always log out in an inn or capital city. Rested experience accrues much faster in these places than it does in the wild and the 200% experience that it gives is priceless if you want to level quickly.

5.) When Quests get tough - Move around

At times in World of Warcraft you’ll complete almost all the quests in an area and the remaining ones will be too difficult. When this happens simply move to a nearby area where you might find easier quests. You can always go back to the initial zone later to finish the quests that are there.

Leveling in World of Warcraft isn’t too hard or too complicated. All that’s required is a little common sense and to follow a few simple steps. By using the information presented in this article, you’ll be able to whip through the levels in no time at all.
